The Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Act, 2020 (DARE) requires all digital asset business in The Bahamas to be regulated by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas.

What types of activities are regulated?

   - Digital token exchange
   - Providing services to a digital token exchange
   - Operating as a payment service provider business, using digital assets
   - Participation in and provision of financial services related to issuer’s offer or sale of a digital asset
   - Initial token offering
   - Operating as a digital asset service provider, including providing Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platforms (i.e. Blockchain), that facilitates – Exchange between digital assets and fiat currencies

The Financial and Corporate Service Providers Act 2020 also includes the following regulated activites:

   - Custody of digital assets
   - Wallet services provider
